Log Cabin Bedroom

My readers are a pretty creative group and I'm calling on you for help! 

A little background.  It's been our dream to own a log cabin.  We came this close to our dream property and dream cabin but medical issues forced us to sell the land and abandon the dream.  Now with three kids we are more concerned with excellent schools than our dream land in the middle of nowhere.  So here we are in a McMansion in suburbia. 

We've done nothing to our master suite.  I have the log cabin themed decor, well most of it.  I'm still trolling Etsy and Artfire for more.  I have a quilt for my bed and the only curtains I have are brown valances.  I'd lurve to put faux logs on the walls but I've been known to change my mind and we may move again in a few years. 

So I was thinking blue and brown in my bedroom and green and brown in my bathroom.  Light and dark of the same shade of green in the bathroom with the main part the light shade, the comode area dark green, and 12" stripes around the tub. 

My kitchen is going to be blue and the LR brown.  Is it tacky to do that in two areas of the house? 

Any other great ideas for paint?  I'm open to any and all ideas!
